The home crowd had a good time watching the Seattle Mariners and Cleveland Guardians get after it.

Starting pitcher Randy O'Neal had a solid game. He was a big reason the Cleveland Guardians throttled the Seattle Mariners, 4-1. O'Neal went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 12-10. Mark Guthrie earned save number 27 this season.

The Guardians got a big hit from right fielder Shawn Green. In the bottom of the sixth, Green pounded a solo home run to left. His 6th home run of the season put the Guardians ahead, 3-1.

"Randy was throwing strikes, locating well," said Cleveland manager Bobby McGrew.

With the victory, the Guardians record now stands at 54-72.
