Pirates Flame Out Against Berenguer, Rangers
|
It was a quiet day for the Charleston Pirates at Citadel College Park today -- a little too quiet. Anderson Rangers starter Juan Berenguer silenced the Pirates, holding them to 4 hits and keeping them scoreless in a complete game effort.
"It was frustrating against Berenguer today," Charleston manager said.
The Anderson starting pitcher walked 3 and allowed 4 hits while fanning 7.
Berenguer has made 24 starts so far this year and put up a 11-10 won-lost record with a 2.88 ERA. In 187.1 innings he has allowed 155 hits, walked 104 and struck out 140.
