Kouns Superb Against Thetford Mines
|
Bill Kouns held the Thetford Mines Miners to 5 hits and fashioned a fine 5-0 shutout at Quigley Stadium today.
Speaking after the game, West Haven Yankees manager said "Kouns had everything going for him today. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement. He was masterful."
Kouns rung up 3 strikeouts and surrendered 3 walks in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Thetford Mines manager told reporters.
