Big Game from DePastino Not Enough, Devil Rays Lose
Despite a great performance by Tampa Bay third baseman Joe DePastino, the Anaheim Angels defeated the Devil Rays by the score of 10-8 at Tropicana Field. DePastino hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Keith Foulke notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now sits at 1-1. The Devil Rays, now 5-16, continue their poor start.

Chuck Carr chipped in for Anaheim, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning. For the game, the center fielder went 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2.
