"I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at Classic Park." For the day, Ewing collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 6 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Lake County skipper Chris Duncan said. "Randy really put on a show." Randy Ewing hit a three-run home run off Phil Witt in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Sam Zimmerman in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off David Guerrero in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. In the current season, Ewing has put up a .290 batting average with 74 hits, 23 home runs, 61 RBI and scored 42 runs. |
