Bad Boy Brawlers Suspended 2 Games Tuesday, June 21st , 2039 You would have thought you were at a hockey game yesterday at Regions Field. A free-for-all broke out when Joe Snyder of Rocket City and Johnny Bolek of Birmingham rushed one another on the field and had to be restrained by umpires and teammates. Few blows landed, but it was enough for them to be ejected from the game. Today both teams received notification from the league office that the two players would be suspended for 2 games. Snyder on the season is hitting .327 with 14 home runs. His stats include 50 RBIs and 37 runs scored. Over the season, Bolek has made 11 relief appearances with no saves. He has K'd 24 batters in 23 innings, yielded 17 walks and has a 4.70 ERA. Bolek's record this year is 0-1. |
