Morales Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, May 10th , 2039 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Julio Morales of the El Paso Chihuahuas. Morales went on a tear at Southwest University park and cracked hit after hit off Reno pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 32-year-old third baseman had a career 5-for-6 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Despite Morales's personal accolades, the Reno Aces walked off the field with the 13-10 win. Julio Morales singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, walked in the 6th, struck out in the 9th, singled in the 11th and hit a solo-shot off Josh Lotharp in the 14th. This year, Morales has hit at a .248 clip with 33 hits, 11 home runs, 25 RBIs and 20 runs scored. View Boxscore |
