						Marlins Turn Back Pirates, 2-1
					 |

The Miami Marlins picked up a win at FedEx Park Avron Fogelman Field, dropping the Pittsburgh Pirates, 2-1. Danny White, who finished 3rd in the NL in strikeouts with 213 in 2034, was the difference-maker. In 7 innings, White surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Min-ho Kim recorded the save for Miami, his 3rd of the season.
Junior Caminero went 1-3 for Miami. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Caminero, who finished 2nd in the AL in slugging percentage with .593 in 2032, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Pittsburgh hurler Walton Willerton, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Marlins a 2-1 lead.
"Some games build character," said Miami manager Raicel Poll. "Like this one."
The setback makes the Pirates 5-9.
