						Marlins Edge Past Mets, 8-7
					 |

The Miami Marlins withstood a fine game by New York third baseman Jeremy Engler at FedEx Park Avron Fogelman Field, to upend the Mets, 8-7. Engler went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Miami reliever Sergio Ramirez picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. C.J. Allbee was tagged with the loss. Miami sits at 4-6 in the early going.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Miami. That's when Michael Sirota, who finished 2nd in the AL in RBI with 118 in 2034, hit a run-scoring double off C.J. Allbee to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Sirota.
