Casas goes 4-for-5 to Pull White Sox to .500
|
The Chicago White Sox beat the New York Yankees, 15-4, at Guaranteed Rate Field. Chicago first baseman Triston Casas had the hot bat. He was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2. The Yankees fall to 9-10 and continue their wobbly start to the 1901 season.
In the bottom of the third, Chicago catcher Hank Conger had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out, Conger stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 2-0, Chicago. For the game, he went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 3.
"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Casas. "It sure beats the alternative."
