The Toronto Blue Jays scooped up a win at Rogers Centre, dumping the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-2. Pat Ragan, who leads the AL in wins with 3, was essential to his team's success. Ragan, who leads the AL in quality starts with 4, went the distance for Toronto. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. The Blue Jays, now 13-6, have been playing some good baseball.
Laynce Nix helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Blue Jays.
"We did enough to win," said Nix.
