The Cleveland Indians racked up a win at Guaranteed Rate Field, bumping off the Chicago White Sox, 5-4, in 10 innings. Archie Stimmel, who started for Cleveland, pitched effectively for his team. The loss lowers the Chicago record to 1-3.

Cleveland used the timely hitting of Chuck Hiller to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Indians on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
