Chicago center fielder Cedric Mullins thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Chicago to a win, 6-2, over Kansas City. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Mullins said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Mullins, who led the AL in stolen bases with 27 in 2022, was 3-for-5 on the day with 3 RBI. Cedric Mullins hit a solo-shot off Yu Darvish in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Yu Darvish in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Dennis Santana in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. This year, Mullins is batting .302 with 19 home runs. He has scored 54 runs and driven in 54. |
