Season Ends for Jesus Flores of Houston (DSL) Friday, August 18th , 2028 The doctors have spoken and Jesus Flores of the Houston (DSL) Astros Orange didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Flores sustained his season-ending injury during the Atlanta (DSL) Braves game yesterday at Atlanta Braves Complex. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Houston (DSL) medical staff reported Flores had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. This year Flores has collected 2 saves in 13 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 1-0 won-lost mark with a 3.05 ERA and fanned 31 batters in 38.1 innings. Opponents are hitting him at a .215 clip in 2028. |
