Astros Blue End Fresquez's Streak Thursday, August 17th , 2028 The Houston (DSL) Astros Blue pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Jesus Fresquez hitless in 5 at-bats during the club's 3-1 victory over the Oakland (DSL) Athletics at Houston Astros Blue Complex. The disappointing performance ended a 29-game hitting streak for the left fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Fresquez said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." For the year Fresquez is hitting .378 with 6 home runs. His stats include 40 runs batted in and 56 runs scored. |
