Caballero's 20-Game Hitting Streak Ends Thursday, July 27th , 2028 David Caballero's 20-game hitting streak was snapped today at Baseball City Complex. The 21-year-old Toronto (DSL) Blue Jays second baseman failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats in the game against the Cincinnati (DSL) Reds, but Toronto (DSL) came out the winner, 8-3. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to David," Blue Jays manager Alejandro Freire said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." Currently Caballero is hitting .350 and has collected 1 home run, 14 RBIs and scored 43 times, while playing in 39 games. |
