Naranjo Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak Sunday, August 13th , 2034 Win or lose, Juan Naranjo just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 25 games. The Baltimore (DSL) Orioles Orange center fielder went 2-for-4, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 8-6, by the Arizona (DSL) Diamondbacks Red at Baseball City Complex. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Juan Naranjo hit an RBI double in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and tripled in the 8th. This year, Naranjo has 4 home runs and a .473 batting average. |
