Tuesday, August 24th , 2032
The Detroit (DSL) Tigers 2 are heading to the Round 2, having narrowly defeated the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals.
Detroit (DSL) edged St. Louis (DSL) in the series 4-3, with a win at Tower Complex in the clinching game by a 21-15 margin.
Jorge Scolari turned in a strong offensive performance for the Tigers 2 and got series MVP for his efforts.
"I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a Round 3 win."
It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Scolari continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance.
For the series, he hit .590 with a .610 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 14 RBI and scored 14 runs.
The Detroit (DSL) Tigers 2 will play against the Detroit (DSL) Tigers 1 in the next round. Detroit (DSL) won their series against the San Francisco (DSL) Giants Orange 4 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
