The team tonight eliminated the San Francisco (DSL) Giants Orange with a 18-9 win, to capture the Round 1 4-2. "We're rolling now," said Sergio Sandoval, who was named series MVP. "The pitchers are pitching, hitters are hitting, look out. I expect us to pick our game up to another level in the Round 2." The standout offensive performance from Sandoval included a .542 batting average, .633 on-base percentage, 2 home runs, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored. The Detroit (DSL) Tigers 1 don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals - Detroit (DSL) Tigers 2 series.
