Coronel Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak Friday, August 13th , 2032 Nelson Coronel collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 25 games. His club, the Houston (DSL) Astros Blue, beat the Toronto (DSL) Blue Jays, 10-3. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Coronel quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Nelson Coronel doubled in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Alfredo Salazar in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and struck out in the 9th. Hitting .444 to date, Coronel has 17 home runs and 77 RBIs. He has played in 54 games. |
