Miami (DSL) Snaps Whitsell Streak at 21 Friday, August 6th , 2032 The Miami (DSL) Marlins pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Jarrod Whitsell hitless in 1 at-bat during the club's 10-9 victory over the Texas (DSL) Rangers Red at Miami Marlins Complex. The disappointing performance ended a 21-game hitting streak for the shortstop. "I'm a little down right now," Whitsell said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." For the season, Whitsell is hitting .552, batted in 42 runs with 3 home runs and 46 runs scored. |
