5-for-7 Day for Salgado Wednesday, August 4th , 2032 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-7 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Alejandro Salgado, it came around today. The 22-year-old center fielder scattered hits all over Philadelphia Phillies Academy to pace the 26-7 Philadelphia (DSL) Phillies Red victory over the Philadelphia (DSL) Phillies White. Philadelphia (DSL) skipper Mario Rodriguez told reporters in the press room that "Salgado deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Salgado hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Alejandro Salgado hit an RBI single in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Sergio Flores in the 7th, walked in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
