David Rico Bashes Three over the Wall Sunday, August 1st , 2032 St. Louis (DSL) third baseman David Rico blasted three homers at Baseball Oasis Complex in the 20-13 Cardinals victory over the Los Angeles (DSL) Angels. For the game, David Rico scored 3 times and knocked in 7 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Rico when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 4-for-6, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Rico told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." David Rico hit a three-run home run off Jorge Villegas in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Nelson Vallejo in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Andres Gamgoa in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. This year, Rico has hit at a .464 clip with 45 hits, 14 home runs, 54 RBIs and 43 runs scored. |
