Mets 1 Prevail, as Round 1 Goes to the Wire Monday, August 28th , 2028 The joy and relief on the faces of the New York N (DSL) Mets 1 players was obvious as they celebrated their Round 1 win over the Oakland (DSL) Athletics. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said New York N (DSL) center fielder Jesus Espinoza, shortly after the 8-3 win that clinched the series 4-3. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the Round 2. Espinoza won series MVP honors on the strength of his .516 batting average during the series. He also had a .571 on-base percentage and 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 7 runs. The New York N (DSL) Mets 1 will play against the Milwaukee (DSL) Brewers 1 in the next round.
