20-Game Hitting Streak for Rodas Wednesday, August 13th , 2031 The Houston (DSL) Astros Orange may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 18-13, to the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals, but Noe Rodas continued to hit like a god. The second baseman collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Rodas is playing great and is on fire right now," Astros Orange manager Joe Rosselli said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Rodas was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Noe Rodas grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and walked in the 8th. This year, Rodas is hitting .489 with 6 home runs and 53 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .547 clip and scored 63 runs. |
