Lemos Runs Hit String to 44 Straight Games Wednesday, August 13th , 2031 Jesus Lemos's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Cleveland (DSL). The 20-year-old designated hitter extended it once again, this time bringing it to 44 games with a 1-for-3 performance against the Washington (DSL) Nationals. The Guardians Red won the game, 9-6. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Jesus Lemos singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. This season, Lemos is batting .418 with 5 home runs. |
