Alba Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, August 13th , 2031 Andres Alba, right fielder for the Colorado (DSL) Rockies 1, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 9-6 victory over the Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates Black at Colorado Rockies Complex. "Not the outcome we wanted," Pittsburgh (DSL) manager Jose Mendez said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Andres Alba grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Luis Silva in the 8th. Alba is batting at a .468 pace this season, picking up 102 hits in 218 at-bats with 15 home runs, 79 RBIs and 63 runs scored. |
