Ochoa Extends Hit Streak to 47 Games Friday, July 22nd , 2033 Win or lose, Frank Ochoa just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 1 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 47 games. The Texas (DSL) Rangers Blue center fielder went 1-for-4, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 9-0, by the Tampa Bay (DSL) Rays 1 at Tampa Bay Rays Complex. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Frank Ochoa struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, struck out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. So far this year, Ochoa is batting .531 with 6 home runs. |
