Hit Streak Now at 41 for Aurelius Sunday, August 10th , 2031 David Aurelius ran his hitting streak to 41 straight games at Tower Complex, when he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Milwaukee (DSL) Brewers 2 dropped the game, 18-8, to the Colorado (DSL) Rockies 1. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Aurelius said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." David Aurelius doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. This season, Aurelius has banged out 99 hits in 190 at-bats for a .521 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .575 pace and his totals also include 58 RBIs and 60 runs scored. |
