Medina 6-for-7 Against St. Louis (DSL) Monday, August 4th , 2031 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Alvaro Medina -- a 6-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Baseball Oasis Complex and paced the 25-19 Marlins win over the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals. After his dynamite batting performance, the Miami (DSL) second baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 6 hits in 7 tries and put his name in the record book. Alvaro Medina hit an RBI double in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 10th and hit a two-run double in the 10th. Currently Medina is batting .553 with 21 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 18 runs and scored 12 times. View Boxscore |
