Free-for-All Costs Mendoza and Barrera 5-Game Suspensions Friday, July 25th , 2031 A bench-clearing brawl marred the Baltimore (DSL)-Colorado (DSL) game at Baseball City Complex yesterday and resulted in two players being suspended today by the league office. The Orioles Black Jesus Mendoza and the Rockies 1 Jesus Barrera were ejected from the game for fighting. Both players will have to sit out 5 games. Currently Mendoza is hitting .481 and has collected 3 home runs, 56 RBIs and scored 58 times, while playing in 40 games. For the year, Barrera has collected no saves in 10 relief appearances. He has also notched 12 strikeouts and 18 walks in 18 innings while registering a 5.50 ERA and a 2-0 won-lost record. |
