De Jesus Bashes 5 Base Hits Wednesday, July 23rd , 2031 Jose De Jesus exploded for a barrage of base hits at Felipe Rojas Alou Complex. The San Francisco (DSL) left fielder had a field day in his team's 28-10 triumph over the Boston (DSL) Red Sox Blue, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." De Jesus must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Jose De Jesus grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Luis Viramontes in the 8th.
