Hit Streak Now at 37 for Whitsell Saturday, July 12th , 2031 Jarrod Whitsell of the Texas (DSL) Rangers Blue has now hit safely in 37 straight games. He socked 5 hits in today's 13-7 triumph over Arizona (DSL) at Baseball City Complex. "37 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Whitsell said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Jarrod Whitsell hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Whitsell is hitting .492 this year with 3 home runs, 37 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 60 hits in 122 at-bats, 14 walks and a .563 on-base percentage. Whitsell has played in 28 games. |
