Hot Bat Cooled, Morales Hitless Against Brewers 2 Monday, July 7th , 2031 It was the best of both worlds for the Milwaukee (DSL) Brewers 2 at Tower Complex, as they defeated the Milwaukee (DSL) Brewers 1, 14-13, and also snapped Andres Morales's 20-game hitting streak. The 20-year-old Milwaukee (DSL) second baseman failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Morales, we just wanted to win the game," said Brewers 2 skipper Warner Madrigal. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Morales frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won." To date this year, Morales is batting .368 with no home runs. |
