Delmarva's Della Mea Winner, CAR Best Hitter in July Friday, August 1st , 2031 Rino Della Mea put together a good July to earn the Carolina League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Delmarva officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Shorebirds shortstop posted a .333 batting average with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 13 runs scored. So far on the season, Della Mea is hitting .315 with 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
