Red-Hot Paton Scorches Canadians
Wednesday, August 18th , 2032
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. J.R. Paton of the Tri-City Dust Devils had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 12-3 win over the Vancouver Canadians at Nat Bailey Stadium.

"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 22-year-old second baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."

J.R. Paton singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Forrest Achbar in the 7th and walked in the 9th.

This year, Paton is batting .258 with 7 home runs and 34 RBIs. In 102 games he has scored 32 times.
