Sammar Muraguri Named Premier NWL Player
Friday, October 10th , 2031
He may have less experience than most of his Northwest League peers, but that didn't slow Sammar Muraguri down at all in 2031.

At the age of 24, the Eugene center fielder has been named the winner of the Northwest League Most Valuable Player Award.

He had a .292 batting average and a .360 on-base percentage this year. In 130 games he piled up 156 hits, 33 doubles, 9 triples, 22 home runs, 88 RBIs and 80 runs scored.

"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."

He received 6 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Shozo Nakano of the Spokane Indians finished second in voting, while Joe Strimple of the Hillsboro Hops finished third.
