Dalon Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Wednesday, September 13th , 2034 Tony Dalon of the Richmond Flying Squirrels extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with 1 hit in today's 3-1 triumph over the Erie SeaWolves at The Diamond. "Tony has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Flying Squirrels manager Ron Mendel joked after the game. Tony Dalon grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 7th. So far this season, Dalon has recorded a .307 batting average with 136 hits, 15 home runs, 78 RBIs, 66 runs scored and a .359 OBP. |
