Behind Bailey, Portland Blanks Akron, 5-0 Tuesday, May 22nd , 2035 In a remarkable performance, Portland Sea Dogs starter Noel Bailey beat the Akron RubberDucks, 5-0, in an impressive 4-hit shutout. "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this." The Sea Dogs hurler finished with 5 strikeouts and 3 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball. "It was a rough one for my guys," Akron manager Larry Day said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
