Skipper Parks 3 HR in the Seats
Saturday, April 1st , 2034
Jonathan Skipper must believe in the Big Bang theory. He proved it by banging three deep against the Tacoma Rainiers. The hard-hitting Oklahoma City Dodgers left fielder added a lot of firepower and excitement to the 5-3 Dodgers win, leaving fans and the opposing dugout buzzing about his standout performance.
"He looked real good today," Tacoma manager Collin Cowgill said later. "I think the guys were awful impressed by him. Frustrated, but impressed."
For the game, Skipper had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 4, and scored 3 runs. The 24-year-old is known in league circles as a tireless worker, and told reporters he has recently been putting in extra time fine-tuning his swing, "to keep it short, compact and simple."
"Looks like it worked today," he said.
Jonathan Skipper hit a solo-shot off Jesus Pinedo in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jesus Pinedo in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jesus Pinedo in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
