Twins Melendrez Lost for Year Wednesday, August 9th , 2028 When Omar Melendrez was hurt against the Colorado (DSL) Rockies 2, the Minnesota (DSL) Twins were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 20-year-old starting pitcher suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Melendrez would miss 13 months of the season. In 8 starts this year Melendrez has posted 4 wins while suffering 1 loss.
