Bautista's Great Year Nets Outstanding Pitcher Award Tuesday, September 21st , 2027 Dominican Rookie League hitters didn't have much of a chance in the 2027 season when the Colorado (DSL) manager wrote "Edwin Bautista" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, he held teams in check and usually got a win. He excelled with a 9-0 mark and 1.48 ERA in 14 starts, tossed 79 innings, fanned 83 and held opposing teams to a .194 average. For his superb season Bautista was today named the DSL Outstanding Pitcher Award winner. He received 25 first place votes out of a possible 46. Daniel Guerrero of the San Diego (DSL) Padres 1 finished second in voting with 15 first place votes, while Nelson Velazquez of the Texas (DSL) Rangers 2 finished third with 3 first place votes.
