Raptors Green Smacks 5 Hits Friday, June 30th , 2028 It was a good day for the Raptors at Suplizio Field as they clipped the Grand Junction Rockies, 27-2. It was tremendous day for Elijah Green, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-7. "I don't know what to call that," the Ogden center fielder told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Elijah Green hit a two-run single in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Mike Benton in the 7th, flied out in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Presently Green is batting .414 with 12 hits and 2 home runs. He has knocked in 11 runs and scored 9 times. View Boxscore |
