Houston (GCL) Takes Round 2 in Deciding Game Friday, September 15th , 2028 The fans in Houston (GCL) are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in St. Louis (GCL). The Houston (GCL) Astros finished off the St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals 4-1 in the deciding game of the Round 2 played at Roger Dean Stadium. They took the series 2-1 and will now head to the Round 3. For his standout play, Houston (GCL) catcher Alex Borrego was voted the series' Most Valuable Player. He batted .333, drove in 5 runs and scored 2 to lead his club to victory. "We could never really figure out how to pitch to Borrego and that doomed us," said Cardinals manager Kenny Lofton. "Hats off to Houston (GCL), though. That was a great series." The Houston (GCL) Astros don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Baltimore (GCL) Orioles - New York A E (GCL) Yankees East series.
