League Suspends Musser Monday, August 2nd , 2027 New York N (GCL) catcher Norm Musser was ejected in the game between the Mets and Astros for letting loose a profanity-laced tirade against the home plate umpire after some calls didn't go the way he wanted. Musser was just as incensed after the game. "These guys are a joke. How can people expect to take this game seriously when you have games like this?" Musser said in the locker room after the game. Now Musser must face the consequences of this actions. League officials released this brief statement to the media: "We are regretful that Musser has taken this to the level that it has reached. The league will not tolerate this type of conduct. Due to his actions during and after the game, the league is suspending him for 4 games." For the season Musser has produced 18 hits in 54 at-bats for a .333 average with no home runs and gotten on base at a .410 clip. |
