Athletics Green Dominate, Sweep Round 1 Monday, September 4th , 2028 It's a sweet sweep for the Oakland (AZL) Athletics Green and they have won the Round 1. The Chicago N (AZL) Cubs Blue were not able to keep pace with the Athletics Green and dropped the series in short order, losing 7-1 in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Chicago N (AZL) manager Donzell McDonald. It's now on to the Round 2 for Oakland (AZL) after their 2-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was center fielder Merrill Hagen, who was named MVP. For the series, Hagen hit .500 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Oakland (AZL) Athletics Green will play against the Oakland (AZL) Athletics Gold in the next round.
