Jared Tilley failed to get a hit in today's game against the San Francisco (AZL) Giants Orange, bringing his 20-game hitting spree to an end. The 22-year-old San Diego (AZL) center fielder was 0-for-2, but the Padres 2 got the win and defeated the Giants Orange 5-1. "I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Tilley said. "I got to 20 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?" This year Tilley has socked 45 hits in 136 at-bats for a .331 average with 9 home runs. He is getting on base at a .433 pace and his totals also include 29 RBIs and 26 runs scored. |
