Porter Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games
Saturday, August 28th , 2027
The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.
Brad Porter did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick today. For the last 25 games in a row, the 23-year-old left fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Arizona (AZL) Diamondbacks beat the Los Angeles A (AZL) Angels 7-6 today.
"I'm happy I kept the streak going," Porter told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Arizona (AZL) clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Brad Porter hit a sac fly in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Davis in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
Posting a .416 batting average to date, Porter has 16 home runs and 54 RBIs.
