Burgess Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, August 25th , 2027 Mike Burgess really sizzled at the plate in today's 21-6 win over Royals. The Chicago N (AZL) second baseman blistered Kansas City (AZL) for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Burgess was too tough to get out today," the Royals skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Mike Burgess walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
