The future looks extremely bright for Devin McLeod. At the age of 23, many players are still trying to find their way in Northwest League.

McLeod has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Northwest League Most Valuable Player Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .327 this year, that's for sure," the left fielder said.

The Tri-City Dust Devils star also put up a .430 on-base percentage this year, with 97 hits, 15 doubles, 3 triples, 13 home runs, 49 RBIs and 50 runs scored.

He received 4 first place votes out of a possible 8. Dave Cather of the Tri-City Dust Devils finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Josh Dondero of the Eugene Emeralds finished third.
